Turkey is a leading country in the medical sector with 92 School of Medicine and total of 1.191 hospitals of which 355 are private hospitals and 42 are accredited by JCI (2nd highest number of JCI accreditation in the world).

On the other hand, Turkey is one of the world's most important tourism destinations. Turkey is the 6th most favorable country in terms of number of tourists. So, it is possible to take a trip to Turkey’s natural and historical riches besides taking health care services. This is why Turkey welcomes increasing number of "medical tourists" each year.
